3. What is Viral Marketing & How to apply it

One way of creating a Viral Marketing strategy is to copy and paste this web page

over to a new web page on your website.

When you scroll down the 3DChalkDrawings web page you will see a menu/links to other interesting web pages. We encourage you to copy all these web pages over to your website replacing our details/links with your TC to get people to visit our website through your Tracking Code.

Once you have your TC in place, send off e-mails to friends and colleagues inviting them to look at your web pages. Encourage them to pass on the links (website addresses) to their friends and colleagues.

This idea will generate a lot of traffic to your website.
Here is an example of what could happen:

Send off, let's say 30 e-mails to people on your e-mail list.
Using a 10% responce rate:
3 out of the 30 people on your list respond by sending on your interesting links (website addresses) to 30 people on their e-mail list.
30 e-mails sent out = 3 responding and sending out 30 more e-mails to their list = 90
90 = 9 responding and sending out 30 e-mails to their list = 270
270 = 27 responding x 30 = 810

Your Name being the name you choose at the end of your Tracking Code (the shorter the better) when you register which enables us to recognize who the code belongs to.

If your choice of name is deon then your TC will look like this:

When someone clicks on your Tracking Code they will be directed to our website but the TC will register, telling our computer where your visitor came from.
Once they sign on to use our software on a monthly basis you are rewarded with a Constant Monthly Income for Life.

Display this phrase at the bottom of your website and hyper link the whole phrase or just DesignOwnWeb

Or if you are sending off an e-mail. Build in a permanent footer which displays every time you send off an e-mail to someone.
This has become common practice in e-mailing.
Yahoo is one of many e-mailing software programs using this strategy.

You should see the address of the hyper-link at the bottom left of your computer screen.

To hyper-link a picture or a banner ad as it is called you do exactly the same thing as hyper-linking a word or phrase.
I have supplied you with 3 different sizes to choose from to copy and hyper-link them.

Follow the instructions below and don't forget to have fun while you are about it.

Adding a Link

Here is an explanation showing how easy it is to set-up.
As you will see the tool bar is based around a very similar layout to Microsoft Word.

To put a link on your page to another page in your own website or to another website, you just have to type out the web address and it will automatically turn into a link.

Alternatively, if you would like to have the text you click on to be different from the link address, you can do the following. Type the text you want to turn into a link. Highlight it and click the 'link' icon in the toolbar:

A dialog box that looks something like this will appear:

Enter the web address of the web page you want to link to in the 'URL' field. In this example, we decided to add a link to Yahoo. Remember to include the 'http://' at the beginning of the web address. After you are done, click the 'OK' button.
